The municipality has over 500 registered industrial enterprises, including “Zorka Hemikalije”, with factories engaged in the production and processing of metal, wood, and production of food, textile and leather.
The Sabac economy has a developed trade and catering sector, a developed construction industry. A large number of the industrial plants has been privatized.
Favorable geographic position: just 30 km away from corridor X, on the Sava river bank, where the construction of an international port – Free zone is being planned.
Zone A, covering 300 ha land, has: modern roads, a modern water supply system with secondary reticulation connections, available electric power supply, the possibility of gas supply within a short time period. For more details, please refer to page 28 of this document.
To facilitate business operation, FREE TRADE ZONE SABAC has been established in the city’s eastern zone along the Sava River bank. For more details, please refer to page 29 of this document.

The entire municipality is a big market in itself, but there are also strong trade relations with Belgrade and markets in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Sava river connects the municipality with markets in Croatia and Slovenia. Only cargo transport is done on the Sava river.
