FREE ZONE ŠABAC |
Customs Free Zone in Sabac operates within the region, where cargo handling can be performed free of duties, VAT and other taxes. Payments are imposed only on goods sold on the domestic market. |

FAVORABLE INCOME TAX RATE |
As of August 2004, the income tax rate for companies is 10%. |

FINANCIAL RELIEF |
Investors who invests a minimum capital of CSD 600 M and creates a minimum of 100 new jobs under the investment is granted a tax relief over a 10-year period. Investors who invests a minimum capital of CSD 6 M in underdeveloped areas and creates a minimum of 5 new jobs is granted a tax relief over a 5-year period. Investors who employs persons 50 years of age and above is relieved from paying contributions to that employee’s income over a period of 2 years. Investors are free from paying custom duties and other charges for the import of equipment (apart from passenger motor vehicles, and entertainment and lottery machines) necessary for their business operation. Under concessions, the concessionaire is free from paying taxes over a period of 5 years. |
